The KOMA Unwind Modified Madness Series rolls into Ace Speedway on Saturday night, April 18th for the running of the "Autism Smiles 125" presented by KOMA Unwind Relaxation Beverage.

The special Saturday night visit to the historic track helps kick off the 60th anniversary of the tracks humble beginning as Southern Speedway back in 1956. Much has happened over that span but the core fact is that the Ace Speedway fans love some good hard racing and that is what the Southern Modified Race Tour is all about. The KOMA Unwind Modified Madness Series brings the 600+ horsepower, open-wheel rockets back to the tight confines of Ace Speedway. 125 green flag laps of racing and live pit stops with an optional tire change gives fans more bang-for-the-buck with no wasted laps under the yellow flag.

Can Zach Brewer rebound from a tough loss to Burt Myers in the first KOMA Unwind race at Ace last year? Brewer had a tire going down and was unable to get to the finish line before it went completely flat allowing Burt Myers to claim the win. Can Myers manage to stretch his fuel for the full distance? He ran out of fuel with a couple of laps to go last Labor Day allowing Tim Brown to hold on at the point after a hard nosed battle with Myers. Can Jimmy Wallace start a new "streak" as the biggest winner in the "Mod Lite" division. Mechanical woes knocked him from the top spot in the "Lite's" rundown at Hickory in March allowing series newcomer, Drew Moffitt, to claim the trophy.

Take most of those names, toss in Mike Norman, Bobby Sheffield, Jason Myers, Jeremy Mayfield, Spencer Davis, Tom Buzze, Dan Speeney and more of the best Modified drivers the area has to offer, mix in those unpredictable pit stops, factor in a few "invaders" from the northeast (Mother Nature has forced the delay of some track openings) and action the tight Ace corners creates and you have a night full of excitement.

The "Autism Smiles 125" presented by KOMA Unwind is the second night of a double-header weekend at Ace Speedway. The KOMA Unwind Weekend also features some great racing from the Ace Speedway regulars on Friday night with action in the Late Model Stock Cars, Limited Late Models, Mini Stocks and Extremes. Saturday action features the KOMA Unwind mods along with the Adams Towing & Recovery Ace Modifieds with twin features and a special appearance by the East Coast Flathead Fords.
Special double-header pricing is available with admission for both nights action at only $20.00 for Adults with a $2.00 discount for students, Seniors and Military. Regular Friday Admission is $12.00 and Saturday admission is $15.00. Regular discounts apply to single night tickets.
